Promises Delivered
Since early 2016, we have been involved with Circle Collective, a London based charity which supports young unemployed adults in finding work. Led by our Account Director, Ravi Bhatnagar, our work with the charity has seen us deliver a number of free insight days to educate and inspire the youngsters about the possibilities available within the FM industry. As a result of this, we have successfully employed eight candidates in the last two years – three of whom are now permanent staff working at some of our largest client sites including the global advertising & marketing agency, Ogilvy UK and leading law firm, Stephenson Harwood LLP.
Jason Gonclaves joined Anabas in 2016 as a helpdesk administrator at Ogilvy UK. After quickly finding his feet and impressing us, he progressed to Floor Captain, and has recently been promoted to Senior Floor Captain which will see him move across to work at Stephenson Harwood LLP.
Jason commented: “When I first met Ravi, I was excited about the possibility of a job in FM, but at the time I did not expect it to turn into a career. I am really happy to have joined Circle Collective and to have been introduced to Anabas. I love working here, we are a great company offering a great range of services and I am thrilled to be progressing within the industry.”
Last year, Nathaniel Campbell joined us as a temporary holiday cover in the post room at Ogilvy UK, and he really impressed us. His hard work, positive attitude and desire to learn really paid off and we offered him a permanent position working as a Floor Captain. And the post room at Ogilvy UK is in good hands thanks to Kuran Jaylan who joined us after a career day two years ago. He has excelled in this role and is an integral part of the team.
Later this month, Ravi will be delivering another intro to FM day. He commented:
“I am really looking forward to the next intro to FM day. If just one person in that room engages and shows interest in learning more about FM then it will have been worthwhile. Our relationship with Circle Collective is longstanding and has proven beneficial for everyone involved. We have found some great new talent and it really is fantastic to see them learn, develop and progress every day. I am proud to see them working as part of our team and I think the initiative is such a great way to support these young people who otherwise may struggle for employment. I also believe that we have not just given them jobs but have set a career path where they can develop and grow for years to come.”
